Mogran is a trusted network built for Sudanese people around the world to meet relevant people, exchange knowledge, find opportunities, discover community activity, and make useful introductions.
LinkedIn is a broad professional network. Mogran is intentionally built around the Sudanese community and relationship quality: reviewed membership and public contributions, recommendations based on shared context, connections that begin with a reason, private introductions, temporary Open Now signals, Sudanese events and organizations, Help Sudan, creators, learning, and community spaces without follower counts or public popularity rankings. Mogran is designed to complement LinkedIn, not replace it.
Mogran is designed for Sudanese professionals, founders, creators, students, business owners, organization leaders, mentors, and community builders across the diaspora and in Sudan.
Review keeps the member network intentional and reduces spam, impersonation, and low-quality profiles. Your profile stays private from the member directory until it is approved.
Founding Members are among the first members helping shape Mogran. The badge recognizes early participation; it does not give someone a higher public score or ranking.
Open Mogran Today. It gives you a relevant next action, people worth meeting, useful updates, and your private first steps. Open Your profile and first steps on Today for private progress, or Account → Settings → Getting Started for the full guide.
Mogran uses mutual connections. You send a short, specific note explaining why you want to connect. Messaging opens only after the other member accepts.
No. A member must first send a connection request and you must accept it before a private conversation opens.
Recommendations use information members chose to share, such as location, professional fields, offers, needs, and other discovery signals. Mogran only surfaces a recommendation when there is a meaningful signal instead of filling the screen with arbitrary people.
When available, Mogran may show a mutual-connection count or a shared school, workplace, or community affiliation to make introductions easier to understand. Mutual connection lists are not exposed, and school, work, and community fields are optional. Add or edit them in Edit profile → About you → School, work and community. New members can add them during Your essentials. Existing members can save from any profile editing step. Entering an organization name does not verify membership.
Choose Account → Share my QR code to let someone scan and open your profile. Scanning never connects you automatically. You both still need to agree to connect.
Open Now is an optional temporary status for something relevant right now, such as looking for a designer, visiting a city, offering mentorship, or being open to meeting. You can add or update it from the Open Now section on Today. It expires after 30 days so the network stays current.
No. If Mogran asks whether a connection was useful, your response is private and is used to improve matching and understand whether the network is creating real value.
Directory contains People, Media & Creatives, Organizations and Shop Sudanese. Community has Discussions, Events and Learning. Opportunities has jobs and collaborations. Use Messages for conversations and requests, Alerts for notifications, and Account for your profile and settings.
Open Directory → People. Search by name, work or interests, or expand More filters to choose a professional field, an offer, a need or a location. Cards show a short introduction; open a profile for the full story. Use your browser Back button to return to your search and loaded results.
Today starts with people worth meeting and requests or replies. Open Now is also visible on Today. Tap Opportunities and learning, Community and events, Featured across Mogran, or Your profile and first steps to expand that section. Tap the heading again to close it. Everything is still available from its main page.
Today is your personalized starting point. It prioritizes relevant people, opportunities, current activity, notifications, and one useful next action instead of making you hunt through the platform. After a meaningful gap between visits, it can also show a compact summary of what is genuinely new.
Mogran does not fill recommendation slots with weak matches just to make the page look busy. If there are not enough meaningful matches yet, it is better to show fewer people and surface other useful activity while the network grows.
After your required profile is complete, Mogran may occasionally suggest one optional improvement at a time, such as a photo, a fuller bio, or a professional link. These are not new onboarding requirements; they help other members understand and trust an introduction.
Both are now in Community → Discussions. Choose a topic or browse all posts. Existing posts, replies and saved items remain available. Follow topics to see them in Following.
Add Creative work to your existing profile to appear in this directory. You still appear in People. Join its Discussions or browse Collaborations, which are the same listings shown in Opportunities.
Open Directory → Shop Sudanese. Search in Arabic or English by product, service or seller. Filter by category, location or shipping destination. Open a listing to see featured items, contact the seller or get directions. Purchases are arranged directly with the business.
Choose List your business in Shop Sudanese. Add or claim your organization first. Owners and managers can submit seller details and up to six featured items for review. Only publish addresses customers can visit. Updates require review; you can hide your listing anytime.
Jobs, referrals, internships, contracts, grants, founder roles, creator collaborations, partnerships, mentorship offers, and volunteer opportunities with a clear next step belong in Opportunities.
If you know the kind of person you need but cannot find the right match yourself, you can ask Mogran for a warm introduction. The request is private and handled with care.
Learning has courses, guides, and tools reviewed by Mogran. Use Save, In progress, or Complete to keep track privately.
Ambassadors are approved members who take on a defined city, campus, industry, or community scope. Their role is separate from Creative work and from administrator access.
No. Mogran can be added to your phone Home Screen from the web and then opens in an app-like standalone window. Open Account → Settings → Get Mogran on your phone for device-specific instructions.
Phone notifications are optional. Mogran does not request browser notification permission until you explicitly turn them on in Notification settings. You can separately control connections, messages, Community replies, opportunities, and events.
No. Mogran intentionally avoids routine “come back,” streak, popularity, and generic engagement notifications. Occasional useful updates are off by default and, if you enable them, are heavily limited and require specific new local value such as new nearby members or a relevant upcoming event.
Instagram and some other in-app browsers can hide normal Home Screen installation controls. Open Mogran in Safari on iPhone/iPad or Chrome on Android, then follow the Phone setup instructions.
Approved members can discover approved member profiles inside Mogran. Public Spotlights are separate and only publish content intended for the public experience.
Location helps with search, filters, events, opportunities, and relevant member recommendations. Mogran uses the structured location you provide; it does not require continuous GPS tracking.
Yes. Member profiles include private reporting and blocking controls. Reports go to the Mogran team and are not shown to the reported member.
Mogran reviews organizations before showing them as verified. Help Sudan is intentionally stricter and points members to official destinations rather than collecting donations on behalf of organizations.
No. Your first steps are a private guide to getting started. Mogran does not use public points, follower counts, engagement leaderboards, or pay-to-rank discovery.
Yes. You can update your profile, discovery details, optional school/work/community context, creator settings, social links, and notification preferences from your account. Existing information is preserved when you edit it.
Use Feedback and Support from your account menu. You can submit a bug, feature request, or general feedback and include the page where the issue happened.
